Redesigned SAT Test Prep Pilot Open

Khan Academy and College Board are piloting the redesigned SAT test prep for students to preview before the official June 2nd launch. Students will have access to the platform until April 30th. Part of the purpose of the pilot is for students to provide feedback to Khan before the official launch. Students will have access to two practice pre-release rSAT tests. To access the test prep, follow the instructions below.

1.    Create a Khan Academy account if you do not currently have one (easy sign-up here.)
2.    Click here to access the practice tests. After you complete a test, you’ll receive a raw score (total correct) and be able to navigate through the questions to see which were correct and incorrect.
3.    Report any errors or technical problems you experience during your practice here.
4.    Once you’ve taken at least one practice test, please fill out the brief feedback survey here.
5.    After you’ve completed at least one practice redesigned SAT, you’ll receive an exclusive SAT Trailblazer badge on your Khan Academy account (see below).

NOTE: This pilot is for the redesigned SAT, and students will only have access to two practice rSATs on the Khan Academy platform for now. The link in step #2 above will bring them directly to these tests. If students navigate on the website separately and find a section with SAT materials, please be advised these are for the current SAT, and not part of our pilot research.

Remember – The first rSAT will be administered in March 2016.

Surviving the College Admission Madness

A parent shared this article from the New York Times with one of our counselors. As our students receive their letters of acceptance, this article helps put the process in perspective. Parents will appreciate the letter at the end of the article.
