There is a Computer Science mixer event in February for Rice prospective students and their parents who are interested in majoring in Computer Science or at least interested in taking a Computer Science class.
Here's the website for the event:
In order to attend, the student and their parent(s) (if they're bringing them) must register.
Here's an important note that the organizer gave:
This is not a Rice University Admissions event. This is an opportunity for people to hear updates about the Rice Computer Science department. The event is very much appropriate for seniors who have applied to Rice and are interested in majoring in Computer Science, or taking a Computer Science class.
One more note about this event is that there will be a lot of current CS females from Rice there.
